My Sweet, Sweet Song- Safe In Your Arms

Our Heavenly Father loves us in an amazing way. He gives us the example of the kind of love a parent should show a child. We are blessed that we can always turn to him when we need that perfect love in our lives or when we need an example of how to love our own children.

What do you think? If a man owns a hundred sheep, and one of them wanders away, will he not leave the ninety-nine on the hills and go to look for the one that wandered off? And if he finds it, I tell you the truth, he is happier about that one sheep than about the ninety-nine that did not wander off. In the same way your Father in heaven is not willing that any of these little ones should be lost. -Matthew 18:12-14
But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and was filled with compassion for him; he ran to his son, threw his arms around him and kissed him. -Luke 15:20
For you have been my refuge, a strong tower against the foe. -Psalm 61:3
Can you think of a song that reminds you that you have a perfect Heavenly Father? Or a song that makes you think about your own children and how much you want to be the very best parent you can be for them? Maybe just a song that brings you the comfort and protection that only being embraced by Him can bring? I hope you will join us this month in creating a layout inspired by your favorite songs. Below are a few songs I thought fit this topic, but feel free to share any song that you feel drawn too.
Already Home– Thousand Foot Krutch
In My Arms– Plumb
Prodigal– Casting Crowns
For my layout, I choose the song Strong Tower by Kutless. This song has been a favorite of mine for awhile. I love the line “I go running to your mountain, where your mercy sets me free.” So many times in our lives we need a safe place to turn to when the world seems to make little sense. I think about how my little boys run straight to me when they get hurt or scared and no one else will do. I’m reminded that I should do the same. When I don’t know what to do, where to go or who to trust, I should turn and run flat out towards God because he is my strong tower.

Each month the designers are invited to create coordinated digital kits inspired by the topic to help you complete your layouts. This month’s kit is based on the swatch below. You do not have to use this kit to participate, but I challenge you to create your layouts using these colors. Paper scrappers are welcome to join us by using similar colored products.
This month I made a mini kit for you based on the my layout above. It is available for free for the month of May. The download link is below the preview.

After you finish your layout be sure to share it with us in the My Sweet, Sweet Song Gallery and the monthly thread in the forum. I look forward to seeing all of your beautiful layouts and finding out what songs you chose.

Sing It Out!
